Sale Means Giving Up UK-Based T&D Activities

Wood Group sold off its transmission operations in the UK. These assets helped build and keep up the infrastructure for the electricity network.

The deal is a strategic way to get out of UK T&D services. But the company didn’t say anything about its plans for bigger changes.

Company Says Terms of Previous Deal Will Not Change

Wood Group said that the earlier announcement was not affected by any major changes. All of the terms that were made public on December 10 are still in effect.

The company sent out confirmation according to the UK Listing Rules. The disclosure was in line with the rules of the London Stock Exchange.

Limited Disclosure on Strategic Rationale or Proceeds Usage

The press release didn’t explain why the strategy was chosen. Management also didn’t say anything about plans for allocating capital.

Investors didn’t know what to do with their money when they wanted to reinvest it. The company hasn’t said what its priorities will be after it sells off its assets.

Completion Marks End Of Wood’s Ownership Of UK T&D

The sale officially ended Wood Group’s ownership of the unit. The deal was done at the end of the year twenty-five.

Wood Group is still running its other global engineering divisions. Future announcements may make the long-term strategic direction clearer.
