A Christian Basis for Politics in Modern America
Vice President JD Vance said that Christianity and American politics are two sides of the same coin and that faith is the country’s moral center. He stressed that Christian beliefs have always influenced American laws, rights, and civic duties.
Vance told young conservatives that politics based on faith protects families, honors tradition, and stands up for people who are weak. He said that this moral foundation is still important even when there is cultural and ideological uncertainty.

Cultural Shifts and the Decline of Religious Influence
Vance said that freedom of religion slowly changed to mean keeping faith out of public places. He said that cultural forces on purpose took Christianity out of schools, workplaces, and public spaces.
He said that taking this away left a moral void that was filled by harmful ideas. He said that these kinds of ideas take advantage of people’s weaknesses instead of promoting virtue and responsibility.
Family, Identity, and Moral Order in Public Life
Vance said that modern identity politics is bad because it replaces a shared spiritual identity with social categories that divide people. He said that this change hurts family structures and personal responsibility.

Christian Principles Shaping Government Policy Choices
The vice president said that Christian morals, like caring for the elderly and helping the poor, were behind policy decisions. He said that social programs were more about moral duty than political beliefs.
