JP Nadda Highlights India’s Medical Education Growth

JP Nadda, the Union Health and Family Welfare Minister, praised the country’s amazing development in medical education and healthcare innovation. He also talked about how the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) is becoming a global leader in medical excellence.

Nadda spoke at AIIMS New Delhi’s 50th Convocation and said that India now has 819 medical institutions, which is a huge boost in capacity and accessibility. He remarked, “Undergraduate medical seats have grown from 51,000 to 129,000, and postgraduate seats now total nearly 78,000.” This shows that India is steadily moving toward being able to take care of its own health care needs.
